Certainty ??? ha :)

“Nothing's ever for sure, John. That's the only sure thing I do know.” Can anyone deny these beautiful lines from the movie” The Beautiful Mind” . They are remarkably strong and imply a precariously obvious yet overlooked fact. Who doesn’t want to live a life on the greener side avoiding the ditches, though not really overlooking them? Although they really know that they cannot claim guarantee for anything in life! Anything! Is that what I said?

So here comes a question.

What is “certain” in life? Maybe we drive towards some mathematical explanation say -Something like “degree of certainty”? For all those logic defining geniuses out there who have tried to give possible explanation with the so called “laws and proofs” do realize that,” God, no doubt, represents the limit of mathematical absurdity, therefore of all Absurdity”
It would be like demanding the product at a counter having paid for it. Is certainty so definite?
Even mathematicians can fearfully only talk about degree of certainty and not absolute certainty. Can anybody do that?

Is there any law that defines the result of our actions? Does there some court of law exist where I can complain and get justice for “why did I fall sick at the wrong time during exams?” or elucidate on “why did the other guy had to miss his bus and stay home escaping a major blast?”

As mathematicians and scientists are busy trying to relate everything to random science with some amount of fuzzy assumptions and set themselves to play with diverse set of rules on probability, there is someone up there playing his game and getting amused by our sheer imprudence.

Can anyone possibly define the rules and the law to which we might rely on? If there where such rules I feel everyone would be pretty careful adhering to them and be on a party whenever they wanted to. But sadly yet interestingly the word “uncertainty” is what makes life so challenging, the fear of the unknown is what still drives some people to believe in that limitless power engulfing us.

A guy busy planning his better half of life with dreams, all of a sudden collapses to a heart attack. A person with a positive aura around. With desires to live life to the full. What went wrong? That makes me wonder sadly whether anything in life could be under our control? You might be a perfect planner making no mistakes and taking no chances. But still things go wrong. Whom do you blame? This only makes me strongly believe that whatever you may do there is a plan for you already written and that is what they call fate or destiny.

The very word “certainty” seems hogwash now. Does it hold any significance?
We could rather live each moment than Worry about what’s certain and what’s not.
All this rather amounts to realizing that people should become more tolerant and caring towards each other. Try to make each moment memorable and worthy. Why have that fat ego and prejudices and waste those precious moments in nurturing hard feelings? I think we can all loosen up a bit, start listening more and strive to spread a positive aura around always.

To end this monologue of a sudden spurt on philosophy here is what I would like to say.

Did you stop to notice the beautiful bird sing at the window sill?
Did you stop to notice the squirrel peck a grain and scurry over the grill?
Did you listen to the falling drops of rain over the roof shed?
Did you stop to get wet in the rain even in one of your best dress?
Did you stop to give that old frail woman in the bus a helping hand?
Did you pat the crying child and give her a happy stand?
Did you greet everyone with a smile each morning?
Did you notice the beautiful content smile in the child worker?
Did you do something foolish just to make everyone happy?
Did you face the angry person with a smile and show him the rainbow instead?

All in all did you live in each moment? :)
